Welcome to your site young blood CALLISTA SELINE VALDÍS BELMONTE [/style] [style=font-family:times; font-size:10; letter-spacing: 6px; line-height: 2px color:#c0b0a1; text-transform:uppercase; font-style: italic; ] you're a wizard, harry nicknames: Calline, Calle date of birth: September 21 age: 25 gender: Female sexual orientation: Heterosexual occupation: Auror bloodstatus: Pureblood financial status: very wealthy year: Alumni house: Former Ravenclaw wand: 10" even of hemlock with a dragon heartstring and chimera scale fragment core. It is unyielding and straight with no imperfections, and the light colored wood has been stained a dark brown. This is an heirloom wand, passed down through the family to the youngest daughter for years. allegiance: canon: yes Tell Us a little about how you look height: 5'7". She is just about average, perhaps a bit above average height. Callista does not see her height as any particular disadvantage, or an advantage, for that matter. She believes that she is the perfect size for an Auror to be. weight: 125 lbs. She is on the slim side, and a bit underneath average. Although she is fairly thin, she also has curves in all of the right places. Many men have looked at her, but she pays no attention to them whatsoever. Callista believes that feelings such as love are not worth her time, and she rarely, if ever displays such affections. hair: Callista has long, wavy dark brown hair. When she's working, she pins it up so it'll be out of her face, but when she's off duty, she enjoys letting it down. This way, she can run her hands through it and enjoy its softness. eyes: Her eyes are a pale blue green color; in the right light, they can even look gray. When she stares into one's eyes, that person feels as if their soul is being torn apart. Her eyes never give away anything that she is feeling unless she wishes them to--this is something that she learned at a very young age. distinguishing features: Callista has very high and defining cheekbones, which can make her face look a bit severe. intended face claim: Olivia Wilde overall: Callista holds herself together with dignity and she is always poised. She does not shout or scream; she conducts herself with a certain type of grace instead. Her movements are fluid, and when she fights, it is as if she is engaged in a deadly dance with her opponent. Her footsteps are very quiet, and she has the uncanny ability to enter a room unnoticed, as part of her Auror training. However, no one can ignore her when they see her in a room. She has the type of demeanor that makes people notice her, which can be a disadvantage in the field. She is also very fashionable and put together. When she wakes up in the morning, Callista always makes sure that she is completely presentable before she heads off to work. Since she was this way ever since she was a child, it has been somewhat ingrained in her. When she's on duty, Callista wears the official brown Auror overcoat (her uniform) over a blazer, a nice dressy top, and a pair of black pants. This way, she can easily transition between day and night, official and formal. Her style of clothing is very practical, yet comfortable at the same time. She usually wears dress shoes or flats, preferring not to wear high heels (even though her mother 'suggests' that she does so) due to the incredible pain that they put her in. Callista finds it incomprehensible as to why women wear such shoes. and then a little about yourself likes: • Reading. She is completely attached to her books, and she finds them to be quite relaxing after a hard day at work. • Nightlock. Her owl is her best friend and her most trusted confidant. They have grown so close that the owl can almost always tell when Callista needs her, and when she would rather be alone. • Working. Callista loves her job, including the challenges that it presents, and she always looks forward to going to work. One of her many ambitions is to soon become the Head Auror, a position that she is confident she will receive. • Connections. Much like her mother, Callista places a high value on the connections with others, no matter if they are of fear or of friends. Although she believes that having connections with others is a very useful thing, she will not use them unless it is absolutely necessary. She believes in standing on her own two feet as much as possible, but that does not mean that she will willingly suffer. • Wit. Callista enjoys having intellectual conversations with others, and she will be particularly impressed if the other person can match her sharp wit and tongue. Not many can, but those who do will have her respect. dislikes: • Impoliteness. Callista was brought up to be very respectful and polite to those around her, and she expects the same respect from others as well. dislikes: • Sloppiness. Whether this is in appearance, wardrobe, home, or work, Callista does not appreciate sloppiness of any kind. Everything must be done to her standards, and everything must be spotless and clean. This goes along with her being a bit of a perfectionist. She is not a fan of abstract art for this reason, instead preferring modernism with its clean lines. • Dependence. To a certain extent, that is. It is fine for one to be dependent on others or on their parents until they come of age. At that point, they should start to make a life and a name for themselves, and not have to lean on Mummy and Daddy for everything. Callista swears that once the children grow up, are out of the house, and start working for themselves, the parents will like them much, much more. It was certainly true for her family. • Betrayal. Callista is very loyal, and she does not forgive betrayal easily. She does not trust very many people, but the ones that she does, she holds in a very high regard. Breaking that trust is breaking her. If one works hard at it, she may forgive them (after she has had her revenge), but she will not trust them to the same extent as she did before. • Charity. Callista was brought up with high merits on self-preservation, and she does not like it when things are simply handed to her. Even her parents have never treated her that way; they have made her work for what she wanted, treating her like a miniature adult. Callista has the mindset that earning something is more worthwhile that getting gifts, and for this reason she does not accept gifts of any kind. Sometimes, however, she can be persuaded to accept something trivial, such as flowers or chocolates. She just does not appreciate raises and bonuses that she has not worked for and earned. However, Callista is not evil. She gives charity to others in need in her own unique way. She strongly believes in the Chinese saying, "Give a man a fish and you shall feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you shall feed him for a lifetime." strengths: • Perseverance. Callista is very determined and focused. If she sets her mind to do something, she will stop at nothing until she completes her task. • Control. She is able to control her temper very well, and Callista will get her revenge eventually. • Forgiveness. Although Callista does not take kindly to those who cross her, she does not hold grudges. Once she has inflicted the proper punishment, she forgets about the issue, mostly because those people do not ever cross her again. • Independence. She was brought up to take care of herself, and she has learned to grow up very quickly as well. She is self-sustained, taking nothing from her parents, exactly how she has always wanted to be. • Reflexes. Because of her job, Callista has been trained well to react to a situation fast and accordingly. Her quick reflexes has saved her life many times, but because of it, she can also be a bit paranoid and jumpy. weaknesses: • Perfectionist. Callista is a bit OCD. She is always punctual, and everything must be in its place and in order. If it is not, she gets upset very easily and fixes it as soon as possible. Everything has to be perfect. • Books. When she sits down to read a book, she becomes completely engrossed in it and she nearly forgets the reality that she's in. If anyone wished to attack her with the best chance of shocking or surprising her, the best time would be when she is reading a book. • Paranoia. When Callista enters a room, one of the very first things that she does is to check the room for threats. Because of her training and her job, she is always ready to fight, and she often has her wand concealed on her. She has often been attacked when she was supposedly 'off duty,' so now she has learned to always be wary and aware of her surroundings. • Luxury. She has always been very wealthy, and so Callista is used to the finer things in life, such as servants and silk. She has a particular affinity for soft things, including bunnies and her favorite silk nightgown and robe. • Anger. Callista has an awful temper, and those who are on the wrong side of it better beware. Her anger will not be blindly aimed at just anyone, no, it will be concentrated and pack a punch. It may not be as vibrant or visible as other people's, but it is every bit as harsh. boggart: To have an extremely unseemly display of emotion in front of her parents. An example of this would be crying; she does not cry and has not cried in a very long time since she has learned to be proper at a young age. Callista wishes to make her mother and father proud, and that cannot happen if they are disappointed in her. Breaking down in front of her parents would surely do just that. erised: She sees herself in a position of power, not only with her job, but with her family as well. She wishes to be like her mother in some ways, but Callista does not want to be as severe as her mother was. She wants to make a name for herself without riding on her parents' wealth and recommendation for her whole life. overall personality: If there could be one word to describe Callista, it would be strong. She has been strong since her birth, and that is how she was raised. She has learned how to be self-sufficient and independent, relying on no one but herself. Callista is generally a very introspective and quiet person. She is not particularly social, although her demeanor is such that when she enters a room, no one can ignore her. She is trying very hard to lose this 'ability,' as it does not particularly help her when she is on a mission at work. Callista is not that fond of parties; she would much rather hide in her little library at home in her silk pajamas and a soft pillow, just reading. She usually skips the Auror parties for this reason, rare as they are. Parties are not a common thing when one is working in a dangerous occupation with Dark Wizards. Still, she loves her job. It gives her something to work for, to overcome. She loves the challenges, as she believes that one must earn everything that they are given. Although she places a high value on that idea, Callista was born and brought up in luxury. She is used to a wealthy lifestyle, and thankfully, her job has allowed her to keep that lifestyle. As a backup plan, Callista has many connections, especially in the pureblood family. Some are of foes, some of fear, some of friends. It doesn't matter what they are made of, as long as she has them. Since Callista is used to routine, and she hates breaking hers, she will do everything in her power to make sure that it stays the same, except for her various Auror duties, of course. She is a woman of many contradictions. Many of Callista's personality traits come from her work and her background. In any Auror operation or mission, every detail must be checked and double checked to make sure that the plan goes off without a hitch. Because Callista is usually the one in of charge of checking everything, she has developed several OCD tendencies. She does not appreciate if anything is out of place or for that matter, if anything simply does not look right. She takes pride in how she and her home look, and she expects others to do the same as well. If something does not go the way that she planned, she will work until it is as she wanted. The line of work that she is in has warped her a bit. She has developed some anger issues seeing the things that Dark wizards are capable. It is mindless anger, but she has learned to control it well. Still, it is an awful temper, and it will be unleashed without a care if she thinks that the person deserves it. As for her upbringing, Callista has learned to love carefree banter with another person. Not many people can match her sharp wit and tongue, but she loves it when someone can. Her parents were very strict, treating her like an adult, and making sure that she acted like one as well. She was raised to be very polite and poised to everyone around her, and she carries those traits with her to this day. history your family and such parents: Galene Maya Lachesis Adrastia Belmonte nee Morphis, mother, 70, society lady & Faunus Ríg Mabon Belmonte, father, 65, Ministry of Magic official siblings: Aiolus Clement Ophion Belmonte, brother, 34, permanent patient at Saint Mungo's mental ward & Janus Arik Silvanus Belmonte, brother, 30, Unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic pets: Nightlock, her best friend and companion (a great horned owl) born: The Belmonte Estate, England, UK overall history: Imagine a cool autumn evening, the leaves just starting to change color and fall to the ground. This was the evening of September 21, the night that Callista Seline Valdís Belemonte was born. Faunus and Galene Belmonte were much like other pureblood parents of the time, expecting their children to be perfect right from the beginning. Although she was the baby of the family, and the only daughter, she was not spoiled in any way imaginable. Callista learned how to grow up quickly at a very young age, although she spent the majority of her childhood in the nursery, being taken care of by strangers. She was never close to either of her siblings; the nine year age gap between her and Aiolus was much too large to even cross, and by the time she had exited the solitary confines of the nursery, Janus was already gone, headed off to Hogwarts. As she grew up, it was very difficult for Callista to even imagine that she had siblings. They only visited for a few days during breaks, if at all, so they seemed more like distant cousins than her brothers. For the longest time, she felt as if she was an only child. It was during this time that Nightlock became her daily companion to keep away the loneliness. The two of them bonded in the library, where Callista seemed to have taken her brother's place. She spent long hours reading as many books as she could get her hands on, always thirsty for more information. This thirst was fed when she headed off to Hogwarts, the last of her family to do so. She was sorted into Ravenclaw, as expected, with Janus. Her Hogwarts years were simply...normal. Nothing particularly exciting happened, except that the wizarding world seemed to be at peace with the 'death' of You-Know-Who. It also seemed that the relationship between Janus and Aiolus grew increasingly more pleasant, but Callista never got the chance to check this for a fact or to reunite with her brothers. She was much too busy studying, spending most of her time in the library. This intense coursework paid off, as she was almost always in the top ten in rank, and after her graduation, she was accepted into the Auror training, passing with flying colors--except for the Inconspicuousness portion of the test. Callista did not have any problems with working with her family in the Ministry, especially since they did not work in the same department. When she was sufficiently of age (about one or two years ago), Callista and her mother decided upon an arranged marriage. She has gone through three suitors already, finding them to be quite annoying and messy, to be blunt. What Callista really wants in a husband is another her, although she will settle somewhat, knowing that her wish is very unrealistic. She has yet to find anyone. When Aiolus' accident occured, it did not shock Callista much. They were never close; in fact, Janus was more 'heartbroken' than she was. The man in the hospital bed mumbling about fluffy things and butterfiles was not her brother. He was a stranger that she happened to be related to. The Belmonte family acted as they were meant to, making an appropriately sized donation to the hospital and 'grieving' in dignity, as always. They usually visit as a 'family' once a month for a few hours before heading back to their daily lives. Voldemort has returned, or so they say. Callista currently has no opinion on the debate, although it seems as if her other brother is siding with the dark. For now, she is forced to keep up her façade with the Ministry, pretending as if everything is normal and nothing has happened, but deep in her heart, Callista knows that a war is near. Something will happen soon, and she will have to make a choice: her family or her job. Which will she choose? Only time will tell. now for the person behind the character alias: Star age: 16 experience: um...like 6 months, maybe? where'd you find us?: I be here. anything to add?: nope. lastly the roleplay sample See one of Alice Turner's many threads for an example. :) [style=padding-right:5px; padding-left:9px; font-family:georgia; font-size:10; letter-spacing:0px; color:#fff;line-height:10px; text-align:center; border-left:0px dotted black; text-transform:uppercase; padding-bottom:0px; text-shadow: 0 0 0.2em #F87, 0 0 0.2em #F87;] Credit goes to MDIZZLE FO RIZZLE at Caution 2.0 |
