It was another boring day. He was finding that was actually a frequent feeling for him these days. And he hated it. He hated being bored and he hated being alone. It wasn't something that he was used to unless he wanted it and right now he certainly did not want it. He just needed to find someone to entertain him. That was the key. But he was a picky sort. He knew that for a fact and that fact did not bother him in the least.
One had to have standards after all.
Running a hand through his dark hair, Cambridge de Wynter sighed and began to look around for something, anything, to amuse himself. There had to be something. This was London. This was home of the ability to find things to entertain oneself. But he had found nothing at the moment. He didn't even have an idea of who he could talk to and harass. A pout touched his lips as he looked around the alley. There was no where for him to go. All the people he might want to see were out of town at the moment. Or rather they were not located in London which was still close enough.
After all, in England, London was the Mecca. He would have much more liked to be in France, but for some reason, his parents preferred England. He didn't understand why. Then again, he understood little about his parents. Oh well, not everyone could be as intelligent as he was and his parents were certainly on that list. They had to have some intelligence though. They had created him. [Such fail, I am sorry]

"It might be nice to leave the shop before I've graduated!" Danphe nearly shouted at the twenty something dark haired woman behind the counter. Why were people so stupid, the blond wondered. Daph had been shopping most of the day, and it was hard work. Surely she couldn't be expected to wait, could she? The woman, who was now wrapping some emerald earrings for Daphne, seemed to think she needed to offer her sapphires instead. After a needless argument, the clerk rolled her eyes and started to put back the sapphires. Snatching the small bag from the cool hand of the lady, Daphne stormed out, and found one of her friends outside the door, heading in. She was sure to tell her about her annoying experiences before heading down the road.
All of Daphne's purchases had been sent to her home with the exception of the earrings she now held with her small clutch bag. Patience, and Daphne were as acquainted to each other, as a fish was to a tree. She could hardly wait to show off the emeralds to her best friend, and anyone else she could. So, when she had made it a few shops down, she stopped in the middle of the street, and opened her bag. Managing to easily get one earning exchanged, she moved to do the other. To her great annoyance, she dropped the second back. A curse quickly left her mouth before she tried to see it on the ground. The piece was small, and she didn't see it anywhere! Frowning, she squatted down, to get a closer look. No wonder she didn't get so close to the ground, she thought with a small shudder. It was dirty, and that was an understatement.
If only she were at school, she thought, realizing that she was actually wishing term had started. How strange. Shaking her head, she tried to decided if she should just get up and go buy another pair of earrings. She had no desire whatsoever to actually feel around on the dirty stone. The thought made her face scrunch up in disgust. Annoyed, the girl bent her head a little lower to the ground to see if she could spot it. Anyone who was walking around, would obviously stop to help her, right? If not, they'd not dare running into her, she thought confidently as she half turned, half hopped in the squatted position, to look in another direction.

Like was not a word that Cambridge de Wynter would generally apply to or use in the same sentence when referring to Daphne Greengrass. To say that the girl annoyed him would have been far more accurate and yet still not utterly truthful. Most everything about the girl rubbed him the wrong way. He did not care for her habit of gossiping. She cared to touch his buttons far too much. He might have been able to handle her if she did not constantly attempt to mock and ridicule him. No, the only reason he tolerated her was because she was both a Slytherin and a pureblood. If she did not possess one of those qualities he would have gladly written her off and never spoken to or of her again. But alas, that was one of the few things in his life that the young man could not seem to have.
Continuing down the street, his eyes flicked to and fro trying to find something, anything to entertain him. He didn't seem to be so fortunate however. There was no one in sight, nothing that could possibly amuse him. Only that little Daphne Greengrass as she came out of one of the stores. He would have left her alone honestly but the sight of her bending down to the ground had a dark smirk of amusement curling his life. This was an opportunity that he simply could not pass up.
Slipping his hands into his pockets, Cambridge sauntered up to the young woman arching an eyebrow. "Well now Greengrass I have to say that it is very hard to keep my mouth shut with you in that kind of position. There are all kinds of terrible things that I could say and God knows you wouldn't appreciate that for some reason."

What was happening to her lovely day, Daphne thought bitterly as she searched the area for her lost back. It couldn't get any worse, could it? To Daphne's annoyance, it could, in the form of one Camebridge de Wynter. When she heard his voice from her spot on the ground, her eyes darted up to glare at him. Unfortunately she was glaring in the wrong spot, as he was behind her. "Yes, for obvious reasons." she snapped, before moving to stand up.
"Don't you have better things to do, than annoy me?" she added looking him over once. It was almost like he'd been waiting for her to show up, so he could have some fun in driving her crazy. "I'm too busy to entertain you with the insults you love so much, so do run along and kiss some mindless idiot, who can't see through you as I do."the blond replied smirking.
Honestly, she had no time for Cambridge today, they were equally good with banter, but the girls mind was distracted today. There was no way she could sit around and let this guy get the best of her, so she was going to have to get rid of him.
