Post by RHIANNON MNEMOSYNE HEATHCOTE on Feb 21, 2013 11:14:15 GMT -5
There came a point in time when even the most mild mannered of persons became completely fed up with unpleasant circumstances beyond their control. Rhiannon was not the most mild mannered of persons, and she had reached that point some time ago. Not being "under confinement" didn't much help matters when she was stuck in the Ministry with no clear idea of when she would be let out. Living in impersonal rooms with her wand the only thing of any familiarity was hardly restful and she could hardly keep an eye on her friends from here. Peter's accidental visit had helped in some ways but it only underscored for her how little freedom they had cooped up like they were.
As far as Rhian knew she was under no official form of confinement although it seemed an unspoken expectation that she stay in her rooms where the Ministry officials could keep an eye on her. She could work with that. Bending unspoken expectations was child's play. She was going to see something besides these walls and the view from the window come hell or high water.
Given her good behavior to date no one was likely to expect Rhian to "wander off". Their mistake. Checking to make sure her wand was safely stowed up the sleeve of her robes, she poked her head out the door to be sure of a clear path. To her luck the hall was empty and that was that. She slipped out, closing the door quietly behind her and moved quickly down the hall.
Before long she found herself in an out of the way alcove where she could sit without too many blind spots. She sank down onto the alcove bench and pressed the heels of her hands against closed eyes. Change of scenery, check. Overall improvement of situation, still wanting.

Post by SIRIUS ORION BLACK on Feb 22, 2013 21:20:18 GMT -5
Sirius Black was not a happy camper. There had been only one woman in his room, and she was already taken by some guy, and she was older than he by more than he called normal age difference. He wanted to see others, be outside of the dastardly room, which was so confining. The least the Death Eaters could do is let him see someone he cared about. Like Peter, who they said had come back when he insisted on knowing where his friends were. James was apparently dead, which Sirius doubted. James was a great duelist and would trounce even ol' Voldy when the two would meet face to face. But the thing that did it for him was when they said James and Lily had married, and had a child. It was ridiculous. Lily would never actually date James, it had to be a lie, no matter how much James tried, Lily was always the one girl who would never date him. The Death Eaters had captured him and was trying to make him believe this fictitious story.
And so, despite them actually telling him to stay in his room, he pranced out of his room, quietly, knowing it was the Death Eaters who were keeping him and not the Ministry as they claimed to be. As soon as he was sure his area was clear of the "Ministry Officials", he ran away from his door as fast as he could. He wasn't going to stay here like a good boy. Well, unless he had proof of their story or he actually saw someone he recognized, who actually believed the story or had proof, then he would try to get away, which he really hoped he would be able to do without a wand. That was part of the reason why he disbelieved them so. They apparently didn't know where his wand was, because he had stolen it at some point after he escaped from Azkaban for something he obviously would never do. He was sneaking around the place, when he spotted a person not too far off.
He slowed his sneaking pace, until he saw her face, and his face lit up like a light bulb. He had seen her fairly often at Hogwarts, with Lily and Iasa. But he didn't know her too very well. He should mend that. Sirius decided that his escape would not be as great, as if he saved a beautiful lady in the process, think of the cheers he and James would make as if a crowd was doing it. Sirius made sure no one else was around, before he skipped up next to her and sat next to her.
"I must have just died and gone to heaven, because I see an angel by me," Sirius said looking at Rhian and giving a suggestive eyebrow movement with his wolfish grin he always seemed to have even when he was a dog. He knew he had forgotten to do something! He could've just transformed and ran out! He could be such an idiot at times.
