All of dem Slytherins. Blaise is pretty quiet, but not because he's shy - mostly because he's so arrogant, most people aren't worth the breath it would take to have a conversation. Start him on something he's interested in and - provided you're not scum - you'll have a hard time getting him to shut up.

He'll probably have a couple of people who he counts as his real friends. The rest are just acquaintances who he'll speak to if he has to. Like-minded people with the same dry sense of humour - or even people who take his teasing good-naturedly - are the people likely to fit into that category. So let us know!

Well. You can dislike Blaise if youreally want. He's probably just apathetic to your existence. Actually, he probably finds your dislike of him more funny than anything. That you would flatter yourself to be adequate enough to have an opinion on him. Please.

One thing Blaise can't stand is insolence from less important beings - yep, I mean you, blood traitors and mudbloods. He won't ever provoke these people, of course. They're not worth his time or energy, but don't be shocked if he throws a biting comment around when someone's being ridiculous.

Blaise is emotionally shut off. There aren't many who can get through to him. That doesn't mean he won't date, of course - it's just that love is, for the time being, off the cards. He doesn't know how to love and although he'd never admit it, he's terrified of it. He's seen what the death of his father turned his mother into and her despair is foreign and alien to him.

But hey, that doesn't mean that you can't love/fancy/dig on him! Dramallama is always good, right? Anything at all that Blaise can get involved in is good. I'm particularly cruel to my characters, you'll come to see. >:D

I have always thought that Daphne mildly amuses Blaise from time to time, with her self absorbed nature. She views him as a friend, because of their position in society. Also, there's a slight crush going on, on her end, but she tries VERY hard to cover that up from everyone, because she can sense that Blaise is not into the kind of relationship she wants to have. She cares a lot about him, but again, tries not to show that too openly, for fear that Blaise would try to avoid her, and that would make their friendship off balance, and ackward.

Blaise is always cool in my books. i love how you have him on the site. As Astoria is a slytherin herself and a pureblood means she might have known him since they were children? maybe they never really got along but I would like to think they could be friends, if you are up for it i was thinking maybe Blaise is the first person Astoria could actaully develop a crush on? other than that i could see these two sitting down probably studying and maybe having some interesting conversations. thoughts, ideas, changes?

I really like the sound of that! Yeah, I think Blaise would count her in that very select few - She's probably amusing to him and he likes that, but he also takes her seriously and would, of course, have her back. As Rose pointed out below, this bunch have probably been friends since childhood! I'm thinking Blaise might sense her slight crush because he's extremely perceptive that way. It won't change his reactions to her or anything, but he'd probably want to avoid getting involved there, cus... cus... THEIR FRIENDSHIP AND STUFF. But yeah, he might have some verryyy repressed feelings on that front. Very repressed. O.O Which could make for some interesting plottingz later on, if you fancy it! >:D

I very much like the idea of these two having known each other from childhood. I think they'll get on just fine too, though I can imagine Blaise seeing her as a kind of little sister figure. He won't be overly protective, of course, cus he figures that people should be able to learn to defend themselves, but he'll definitely be there for her whenever she needs him. I like the idea of them having some good conversations, maybe in the Common Room - just make sure she knows not to take him too seriously all the time. His teasing is his way of showing he cares! Now, in terms of this crush, that could be interesting when Daphne's feelings are taken into consideration. If we all want some dramallama down the line, I can see how this would be a perfect source of it! XP

I had not actually read what Daphne had posted up... that would indeed be rather interesting and cause a fair bit of drama especially between the sisters, though emotions are not expected to be returned Astoria will need to learn the hard truth about love and no doubt upon learning at some point her sister has feelings for Blaise too would cause rivalry probably before she backs down crushed naturally, lol, but a lesson to learn but I can see some big time drama here!

Simply knowing she has someone there if need be would be a comfort enough for her though upon learning her emotions towards him she may come to mistake his 'teasing nature' to be more than they are which maybe causes some problems between the two before they try fix it or she does? I can see more drama here too but certainly sitting down and chatting and knowing he is there if she needs it with good reason of course would be comforting to her. Thoughts?

Yes! I love it. Seeing that Astoria may have developed a crush, it's definitely some drama going on. Daphne will be angry when she finds out, even if she thinks Blaise won't love her like she wants to be loved. I was thinking for the sake of dramatics, maybe Blaise takes Tori out on a "date"...maybe he doesn't think anything of it, but being 14, Astoria does. Then Daphne finds out, and is very moody and upset because she thinks her sister stole Blaise's affection/attention.

This looks like it could be going in an interesting direction, if everyone's agreed. >:D Brandy and I were thinking that maybe Blaise and Astoria could end up going to Hogsmeade together - as friends - but everybody gets the wrong idea and all the drama breaks loose! Sure i don't see why not, I don't see Astoria as seeing it as a 'date' either but it could certainly be the first step for her as in developing her feelings towards him and getting 'deffensive' in what people were/are saying, but i don't see why not, shall be fun!
