boggart: When Luna faces a Boggart, it morphs into the image of her mother's corpse. The reason for this has to be that her worst memory has to be when her mother died. She can remember running inside to show her mother the pretty butterfly that she found. Instead of finding her mother doing some work, she was slowly dying. The memory contributed to the image of the Boggart turning into her mother's dead corpse. erised: Luna's greatest wish is for Voldemort to be defeated. Most of the odd things that have happened have been leading up to his reappearance. If he were defeated, they'd have hope for an actual normal year of Hogwarts. She knows that if he were vanquished, everyone would be safer. overall personality: Luna is a rather odd girl as it is known around Hogwarts. She has a habit of being bluntly honest. It occasionally embarrasses some people when she points something embarrassing out. Luna is a naturally creative person and it is one of the reasons why she was Sorted into Ravenclaw. She is a bit of an artist and has painted portraits of all her closest friends. Luna has displayed true bravery on many occasions. She keeps a nonjudgemental view on everyone. She prefers not to judge a person but see what their good qualities are. Many people have never realized that Luna is actually intelligent. Her parents doted on her and gave her the affection she deserved. She was always a content child. She never craved more than she needed. Being a family of purebloods, the Lovegoods weren't surprised when she displayed signs of magic at the age of four. Still, they showed interest when Luna occasionally used magic. Her father, the editor of The Quibbler, often told her stories about magical creatures that many others deemed nonexistent. She always satisfied herself by watching her mother experiment. Tragedy struck her home when she was nine. Her mother, Rhiannon, had been experimenting and had accidentally mixed the wrong ingredients together. Rhiannon did not realize her mistake, drank the potion to test its results. The time soon came for her to begin her magical education at Hogwarts. In the year, 1992, Luna set out on her journey of magic. When it was her turn to be Sorted, the Sorting Hat was quite amused by her imagination and found her unique and intelligent. It sorted her into Ravenclaw where both of her parents had been sorted. Her first year at Hogwarts did not start off very well. There were rumors of the Chamber of Secrets being opened and her own classmates were being petrified. Luna was a little afraid but was told that the only targets were Muggle-borns. That still did not help much as she was worried about the well-being of her classmates. She tried to cheer them up but she began being teased because of the solemn yet unbelievable things she says. The year after that was a little safer but Dementors were everywhere. She felt the cold chill in the air and remembered her mother's death. In the summer of 1994, her father and her attended the Quidditch World Cup. Her family rooted for Ireland. A surprise awaited her that year at Hogwarts. The Triwizard Tournament would finally be held after hundreds of years. She watched in rapt attention to the tasks and filled her father in about the tasks. Everything went wrong in the last one because her neighbor, Cedric Diggory was killed by You-Know-Who. The witches and wizards thought that he had left them because he was too much of a coward to stand up to Voldemort. Luna was one of the few left who did not believe in that. "He must be out, finding a way to destroy Voldemort's reign," Luna thought to herself as she went down the long halls. She was a thoughtful girl. Most of her classmates believed that she was a loon. Contrary to those thoughts, Luna was actually an intelligent girl. Ginny, Neville, and Luna were discussing the possibility of restarting Dumbledore's Army. Last time it was started to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts while Umbridge refused to teach them any spells to protect themselves. This time, they truly needed the DA. The Carrows were merciless. They even use the Unforgivables on the students. The professors didn't dare to intervene a lot. If they did, the Carrows would surely report it to Professor Snape then he would remove the teacher. Luna admired how the teacher tried to help the students even if they might lose their position. Perhaps, the DA would aid the students in protection. Maybe they would be protected from the Slytherins who were enjoying their Head of House being Headmaster. Luna was constantly being bullied by the Slytherins. She had come close to being a victim of the Cruciatus Curse. The students were forced to use it upon their classmates who was put in detention. The Ravenclaws no longer stole her possessions anymore. Their minds were focused on avoiding the Carrows and Slytherins. In fact, they avoided being near her. Her father was a known supporter of Harry Potter. This put her in constant danger. With her father printing out the news supporting Harry, the Death Eaters were surely keeping watch on her family. Luna stopped in her steps and leaned against one of the windows of Hogwarts. The scenery outside was rainy. How befitting it was while the Wizarding World was under Voldemort's reign. The sounds of footsteps rang out behind her. Luna turned to face the person.
