But no, nothing really. intended face claim: Tom Hiddleston overall: Corwin is a fairly tall guy and, in spite of his apparent hatred of sports, is in pretty good shape. His hair is fairly short, rather curly, and a shade somewhere between blond and red. Lighting is important. Lately he’s been letting some facial hair grow but he’s just as likely to be clean-shaven on an impulse of whim. His fashion sense is a bit eccentric for a wizard, to be honest. He finds robes to be an awful lot of cloth to deal with when trying to get anything useful done and so tends to wear muggle attire more often than not. When he’s working he takes pains to be semi-presentable and throws an open robe over his shoulders like a really swishy greatcoat. and then a little about yourself likes: history, good prank (or ten), books, places, social interaction, games of wit, improvisation, animals (especially cats), sweets dislikes: thick-heads, rainy days, ignorance, arrogance, killjoys, quidditch, jocks, skipping meals, monotony, sour things strengths: quick-witted, eloquent, intelligent, forgiving, sense of humor, energetic, outgoing weaknesses: not knowing when to stop, impulsive, sometimes pushy, open book, over proud, slightly obsessive, distractible boggart: Being totally, and utterly alone. Forever. erised: Corwin's greatest dream is hardly an uncommon one. He wants his family to be proud of him, something that doesn't seem likely with his current "rather pointless" occupation. overall personality: Corwin is, above all, a fun-loving sort. He is quick to laugh and poke fun but can easily get carried away and take a joke or prank too far. It's rarely out of maliciousness but intent doesn't much help the pranked. It also doesn't help that in Corwin's case telling him to do to others as he would have done to himself does no good at all. For him there is little better than a well-executed prank, even if it has been played on him instead of by him. Being the butt of jokes has never been a problem for him; he laughs along with the rest and congratulates the prankster on a job well done. It is impossible to deny his mischievous nature. Any self-respecting prankster should have a healthy dose of mischief and Corwin certainly delivers on that note. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but his sense of mischief is often stronger than his sense of morals, even common sense really, and he's often toeing the line between benevolent trickster and complete arse. It must be said that Corwin can be quite hypocritical. While he abhors arrogance in others he is more than a little arrogant himself. He sees his own arrogance as a healthy amount of pride, but it doesn't change the fact that his ego is a bit inflated. When faced with others who have large egos there seem to be only two options for Cor: getting on like a house on fire or actually wanting to set someone’s house on fire. If they don’t clash horribly there’s a strong chance for Corwin to turn a blind eye to others’ arrogance but if they don’t get on it can get quite messy. When all is said and done, Corwin is a social creature. He thrives on interacting with others, while long periods of solitude make him prickly and ill-mannered. Large crowds tend to bore him as they offer little opportunity for quality interaction but he loves a good get together. history your family and such parents: Erica Alicia Lancaster; mother, age 56, halfblood wizard, Herbalist Alexander George Lancaster; father, age 62, muggle, retired maths teacher siblings: --- --- Lancaster; brother, age 27, halfblood wizard, --- pets: Jasper; Maine Coon cat, age 4 Muninn, raven, age 3 born: London, England overall history: The elder of two sons, Corwin is probably the least mature big brother ever. As a child he was a continuous headache for his parents and a major thorn in his little brother's side. Luckily, somewhere along the line, he developed a modicum of maturity and a nebulous sense of when to stop before he got decked. Looking back he's really quite surprised no one smothered him with a pillow or something. At Hogwarts he tried to outwit the Sorting Hat; attempting to have it declare his House to be "Ravyfieruff". The Hat was having none of it, of course so what followed was a very long debate about Slytherin and Gryffindor and when the Hat finally shouted "GRYFFINDOR" for all to hear, it told Corwin that if it never had to touch his head again it would be too soon. Within his first week as a Gryffindor, Cor tried to change all the red and gold in the common rooms to teal and copper and instead ended up a lovely shade of teal with metallic hair when the spell backfired horribly. He went to classes in spite of his ridiculous appearance and was a little put out when he was forcefully dragged to the nurse to be returned to his proper coloration. Such incidences were commonplace during Corwin's Hogwarts years, as were pranks and general shenanigans. The older he got the better he got at not getting caught but in general people tended to assume he was behind just about everything. In spite of this penchant for trouble, Cor made plenty of friends for himself. He might have been a bit over proud in many respects, but that never got in the way of a good joke or a good time. The only people he ever really didn't get along with were, and still are, the sort of people generally categorized as jocks. In his second year he and the Slytherin Quidditch team ended up in an ongoing confrontation. They saw it as recompense for his pranking one of their own and getting off scott-free, while he saw it as the malicious bullying by idiots. Needless to say, they never really resolved matters, but were forced into a state of peace by the staff of Hogwarts. Many points were lost all around. When it was finally time for Corwin to leave Hogwarts, Hogwarts was without a doubt glad to see him go. Things were much more orderly and sane with him gone. He wasn't, however, gone long or far. Within a few years he procured ownership of Zonko's Joke Shop in nearby Hogsmead where he is to this day, selling prepared pranks and such to Hogwarts students after his own heart. Preferring to look on the lighter side of life, Corwin has always done his best to stay out of major trouble and ugliness. He's all for general chaos but not for death and general tragedy. now for the person behind the character alias: Aine age: 25 experience: 9+ years where'd you find us?: site hopping anything to add?: I’m doomed. lastly the roleplay sample See Ashwyn Maddox.
