Immortals walk the earth, hiding amongst us, with the sole aim to be the single remaining Immortal, in order to claim The Prize. It is said that when only a few remain, all Immortals will feel an irresistible pull to a far away land, where they will fight one another to the death, claiming the heads - and the Quickening - of other Immortals, and, with that Quickening, all of their knowledge and experience.
It is the dawn of 2013, and the Gathering is afoot, with all remaining Immortals being drawn to New York City, where they will battle to be the one who claims The Prize.
Keeping an eye on the Immortals are the Watchers, humans who have, for centuries, chronicled the activities and lives of the Immortals, hidden from sight, never interfering. Most Immortals never know of the Watchers' existence, but when their paths cross, it is never without consequence.
The Quickening is a 3-3-3 rated "Highlander" RPG, set in present day NYC at the time of The Gathering. Intermediate to advanced, all new players welcome!
