Her eyes are probably her most profound and famous feature. intended face claim: Amy Adams overall: Generally when people think of Lily, they think of fair features and of a subtle beauty. She was created in a way that always makes her look friendly and approachable. Her almond shaped, olive green eyes are searching and open; and her smile is enough to calm anyone's nerves and bring a smile to their face too. Her hair is dark red and long, crawling down just below her shoulders. She usually keeps it curly since it looks more alive. Lily is generally very small; but, that doesn't mean much to her personality. As far as clothing goes, Lily's not that picky. Usually her school robes are enough, at least while she's at Hogwarts; but, when she's being casual, she doesn't really put much thought into what she's wearing. All that matters, to her, is comfort. When Lily tries to look nice, on those special occasions, she's very successful. But she finds putting too much emphasis on that sort of thing distracting. Sweatpants and a sweater are good enough for her while she's reading next to the fire. The first thing people usually notice about her are her eyes. They're quite distinctive and bright, emoting any sort of feelings she may have before her face has enough time to catch up. The color is of a pale olive green that matches to the fairness of her features. They stick out only because of the intensity of how she looks at things. When she's watching you, you know that she's watching you completely, because her eyes show that. Their benevolence make her look and feel trustworthy. As someone once stated: "Lily Evans? You'd see her eyes before you even knew she was there." and then a little about yourself likes: Lily is very simple and pratical when it comes to things she loves. Above all, family and friends are most important to her. There is nothing in her heart that means more to her than those she cares about most. She also enjoys studying, because she absolutely loves magic and wants to be able to hone her skills and abilities. There are subtle things that she likes, such as singing, reading and spending time with her loved ones. Secretly, Lily is quite the romantic and loves people who subtly hit on her and do romantic things like leaving her flowers or writing her anonymous notes. Sometimes it's the little things like that, that make her day. dislikes: Lily very much dislikes the Dark Arts and anyone that practices them, because all and all, Lily has a general hatred for all things malevolent. She really dislikes bullies or people who try to hurt others. Those are the main things, however. In reality, Lily tries not to be a hateful and judgmental person. Most of the time she likes to find the good in others. But sometimes it's hard when she has to deal with people like traitors. To Lily, being unproductive is annoying, and absolutely despises it when she feels useless and helpless. At the moment, she very much dislikes James Potter, because he's a huge bully, but... you know. boggart: Losing everything; her loved ones, her magic, her home, everything, and being left helpless, useless and alone.
erised: To be honest? She wants everything in her life to return to normal. She dislikes very much where her life is going, even if she puts on a brave face. She recognizes the conflicts looming just on the horizon. She misses the way things used to be, when she was young and excited for the life that was unraveling before her. Most of all, losing her childhood friend, Snape, was probably one of the hardest things she had to deal with. Him turning on her like that, calling her such an awful name, and then being forced to throw him out of her life based on principle was more difficult than she could ever describe.
overall personality: When it comes to personality, Lily Evans shines. She's kindhearted and warm. Professor Slughorn even described her as being charming and witty. Lily's rather extroverted, and enjoys doing things in groups. She loves joining clubs and getting involved with the general student population. Lily thrives off of the energy of others; their happiness, their enthusiasm -- that's what keeps her going. Lily has the knack of being able to see the goodness in others, because that's generally what she wants to see. She doesn't make negative assumptions about others until they do something negative. So, Lily goes out into the world trying to find friends, rather than wading around, hoping to find something nice.
Lily's a very loyal person. Sometimes that's the only thing that makes her a good friend -- she latches onto people she cares about and defends them outright, no matter what. Sometimes doing this causes her to make enemies she didn't intend to ever make, but she believes those are necessary sacrifices to make when you're defending your loved ones. In general, Lily's very dependable. You can come to her about almost anything... And the emphasis is on almost. Lily is very strong about her principles, with what's right and what's wrong, and she generally doesn't look well upon things that are obviously wrong. When it comes to things like the Dark Arts, or other malevolent things of that subject matter, she becomes very indignant. She's very passionate about how those things are evil and disallows the subject or the actual things to be any where near her. Other things, though? Boyfriend troubles, sex troubles, friend troubles, school troubles -- whatever, you can come to her and she will easily be a support for you.
Speaking of... While Lily is a die-hard romantic, she's kind of romantically inept herself. When given enough time to be herself around a romantic partner, things become natural and easy. But starting off? The situation confuses her and makes her feel awkward, and she doesn't know what to do. That usually scares people off, which is why she hasn't really dated during her years at Hogwarts.
Lily's very strong headed when it comes to things about "race." She very much dislikes racists, and finds Mudblood to be a word that should never be spoken under any circumstances, which is why it hurt her so when Severus called her one. When it comes to people who are racist, it's hard for her to ever forgive them, even if they are great people. People who retain some form or another of hate are people Lily doesn't want to be around. Even if they came to her, flowers, apology and hugs -- she'd still be very wary, even outright doubtful, about forgiving them.
Lily takes her studies very seriously. From the beginning, people have always considered her to be a talented witch; but, to her, talent is only useful when you have hard work to back it up. She studies often and does her best to rise above in learning magic. She's particularly good at Potions, but her talents thrive in other areas of magic too, like Transfiguration and Charms. Lily always needs to be doing something, and lazing about, even though it's nice, makes Lily feel anxious. She doesn't like any sort of lack of productivity, even if it's just as mundane as cleaning her room.

overall history: The most important thing about Lily is that she's muggleborn. There's no grand history of magic in her line, some people would just say she got really lucky. And in some respects, she did. Not only was she born with other-worldly abilities, she was also born to two loving and accepting parents that wished to develop her gift and support her as she learned. When she was young, though, she grew up quite normally. She was very close to her sister, Petunia, during this time, and looked up to her. However, as she got older she began to realize there was something weird about her. Although she had control of her magic at a young age (which is quite rare), the idea that she even had some sort of supernatural ability was strange. It wasn't until she met Severus Snape that she realized she was a witch. He told her what her abilities were, and everything that there was to know about the Wizarding World, and the two became very close friends. While they did, Petunia and Lily grew apart. It broken Lily's heart, but Severus was always there to comfort her.
When Lily turned eleven, she got her Hogwarts letter and immediately began attending. She was sorted into Gryffindor. Lily thrived at Hogwarts. She was quite popular and excelled in her studies. She enjoyed every aspect of life Hogwarts had to offer, and took advantage of every opportunity she had to bring herself out into the public eye. She joined the Slug Club at Slughorn's request, and later became Head Girl.
However, life in Hogwarts wasn't always pleasant. In her fifth year at Hogwarts, a schism came between her and her best friend, Snape. Due to political differences, Lily ended the friendship. She stands by and regrets the decision. Lily was, in general, very good with people, but made enemies along the way. She still has a hard time dealing with James and the Marauders, and every so often Snape comes by to try to pry forgiveness from her, but it doesn't work. She still works hard in order to graduate from Hogwarts aware that, at some point, that it's very possibly she may need to join in on the fight against the evils that are coming her way, even at the cost of her own life.
